This policy explains what personal information MEW Installations collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

What we collect and why

• Enquiries. Your name, email, phone number, postcode, what you need help with, answers about your kitchen, any message and any photos you upload. We use these to reply and arrange work you ask for. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
• Booked visits. Your name, email, phone, address, the visit date and what it is for. We use these to confirm the visit and email you a reminder the day before. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.
• Filter reminders. Your email, and optionally your first name and tap model, and the month your filter was last changed. We email you when it is next due. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the link in every reminder.
• Analytics. Only if you allow it in the cookie banner: anonymous counts of page visits, with no cookies used for advertising.
• Security. Your IP address is used briefly to stop abuse of our forms. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site working.

Who else handles it

We use trusted providers to run the site: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (our database and photo storage, held in London), our email provider (sending emails) and, if enabled, Cloudflare (checking forms are not sent by robots). They only process your information on our instructions. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries and booked visits: 24 months, then deleted automatically, unless we need them longer for a warranty or accounting reason.
• Photos you upload: 12 months.
• Filter reminders: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email info@boilingwatertapinstallations.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
