Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to fit a boiling water tap?

Our fitting is a fixed £240, VAT included, for any major brand. That covers connecting the tap, the tank and the filter, and checking everything works before we leave.

What does my kitchen need for a boiling water tap?

A standard 13 amp plug socket under the sink, room in that cupboard for the tank and filter, a 35mm hole in the sink or worktop for the tap (or an existing tap we are replacing), and hot and cold water supplies. Not sure? Use the checker on our installation page or send us a photo of the space under your sink.

Can you fit a tap I have bought somewhere else?

Yes. We fit all the major brands, including QETTLE, Quooker, Zip, Franke, BLANCO, Fohen, InSinkErator, INTU, Grohe and Bristan.

Do you repair and service taps you did not fit?

Yes. We service and repair all the major brands, whoever installed them.

How often should the filter be changed?

Usually every six to twelve months, depending on the brand and how much you use it. QETTLE taps have a light that tells you when it is due. Sign up for our free filter reminders and we will email you when it is time.

Are boiling water taps safe with children in the house?

The taps we sell all have child-safe controls. For example, QETTLE taps come with a safety clip: while it is in place boiling water cannot come out, and once it is removed you still have to press a button and turn the handle at the same time. INTU taps have a child-safe handle with a safety button and spring.

Do you fit sinks and waste disposal units too?

Yes. We can advise on and fit kitchen sinks and waste disposal units, so the key plumbing in your kitchen refresh is done by one team.

Which areas do you cover?

We work across the North West, North East, the Midlands and parts of Scotland, from Birmingham up to Edinburgh. If you are not sure we reach you, send us your postcode.
